WHAT TYPE OF GLUE SHOULD BE USED TO AFIX THE FRICTION SURFACE TO THE POT OF A FRICTOIN CALL?WILL WHAT YOU USE CHANGE THE SOUND THAT THE CALL PRODUCES? ?

I use Household Goop and set the surface with a twisting motion. I clamp the surface for several hours while glue dries. Some don't like clamps but use weights or some other means of applying pressure. It's a good idea to be consistant however you do it.

There are various views and opinions on this, i prefer a silicone type adhesive,,,which doesn't change the sound of the call, after it's dry, where others may have a sound one day, but as the adhesive hardens, the sound changes..just my 2cents..
