I wanted to share a wood source for pot call blanks and striker blanks. I have been buying wood for about a year from Grand River Hardwoods in Pryor, Oklahoma. The owner, Wayne Gilstrap, is an excellent guy to work with. Some of the woods that he offers are: ash, walnut, cherry, osage orange, Kentucky coffee bean, hackberry, cedar, honey locust, red oak (straight sawn or quarter sawn), sycamore (straight sawn or quarter sawn), mulberry, pecan.... I may have missed one or two. Wayne caters to the crafter and sells by the board foot or by the blank. Osage orange is his most expensive blank at $2.99 each (4/4 wood 4" x 4").
