I love box calls and wouldn't go into the woods with out them. I use Neil Jacobs Headhunter boxes, have two short boxes and one killer long box from him. Just wondering how many of you still run box calls with all of the new fangled(sp?) calls on the market today. Now they are not the only calls i take into the woods, but they are big players in my game.

I always carry a regular box and a paddle call. I use the paddle call on most hunts. I get a kick out of using friction calls.

I am now. After seeing the results from The Doug Camp Screamin Hen the last two years, I love box calls. Also carry my Reynold's box all the time.

I carry one, but I believe it is only because I have a pouch for one on my vest. I have only used it a couple of times and that was to gobble.

Box calls are like truck keys can't leave home without them. I was hunting one morning and the only call that old bird would answer was a Quaker Boy Grand Old Master.

Middle of the day,no gobbles for the last few hours, you need the boxcall to find him I believe.

While not my first choice in the woods, I do carry one in my vest. I currently own two, a Quaker Boy mini-boatpaddle and a Knight & Hale "pocket box call". While I do like the sound of these calls, I'm more of a slate/glass and mouth call kind of guy!!

I need to get one or two as I can't seem to find my Lynch's World Champion box call! I like that one and the Fool Proof as to me theyt sound about the best that you can buy on the shelf. I am looking for one though so if anyone knows of someone who really makes a great sounding call let me know.

I use boxcalls, some that I made, an exceptional boxcall made by Shortyscalls....it was Shorty's boxcall that called in Michigan's record bird this Year...15 7/8 inch beard......and the successful hunter's first time at turkey hunting.... I scored the bird... The good Lord allowed Me the ability to use all calls, with diaphrams used the most..........Mag

i bought my first boxcall in 1963.i still kill turkeys with it.it is a lynch model 102.it has been through the wars,so i just bought another one just in case my old one gets beyond repair.i probably would not go into the woods without it.

I take at least 2 boxcalls in the woods with me everytime. The probelm is which 2 will I take. I try to use a different box everytime I go after the same gobbler. My favorite box is a Paul Butski Walnut box.

I just got two of Tim Sandfords box calls! One is a regular box and the other is a long box that I will use maily for locating. His web site is www.rutnstrutgamecalls.com if anyone wants to take a look he makes a fine box call.
