I would feel comfortable with a 30 yd shot... A turkeys body is nearly as thick as a deer chest cavity....That would be My max..... Magnum

Pretty much the same here. I would prefer 20 yds but would stretch it to 30 if that was as close as the gobbler was going to come in.

30 yards would be the max that I would shoot unless his beard was draggin the ground

If he has a beard dragging the ground I will take a 40 yard shot I practice at 40 , 50 ,60 and 70 yards pretty much on a daily basis so I am confident taking a 40 yard shot on a Gobbler.

I shoot 3D a lot and I am comfortable with a 40 to 45 yard shot. That is only because I practice at that diatance everyday. It also helps to practice with a actual 3D target and not just the bales.
