Up until this week the turkeys I have seen have all been either hens or gobblers and jakes, two days ago I seen three longbeards strutting with 20 hens running around them. Still got a five week wait for my season to open here.

Trying to get in some early season scouting this week but kind of hard to do with getting over 5 inches or rain in the last three days.

wishinone CT. is a real sleeper. I don't think too many realize how many turkeys you have.

Was out today scouting around a bit, don't know why but the turkeys are keeping to the woods this spring, not seeing too many in the fields yet.

Yes SJ when I moved here a little over two years ago I was suprised how many turkeys there was in the area. I was out at first light this morning walking the dog and heard birds gobbling all around the lake I live on. I put the dog in the house and drove 5 miles to a state game land hunting area and heard 7 different birds gobbling there. While driving home I seen 8 gobblers and about 20 hens in the fields, things are starting to look up, my season starts two weeks from tomorrow.
