Momma LH and I went to Tensas River National Wildlife Refuge for about a 3 hour tour(no the Captain wasn't the tour guide) we first saw a young doe laying near the road, then about 2 mile's we saw a hen in the road, about 1 hour later we saw the road full of Turkey's there was only one hen and 15 half grown poults, they let us get out and walk up close to them before they entered the wood's just a kee kee'ing. We only went about a mile and there in the road were two more poults, no hen just the poult's we watched them peck around for a few minutes then they entered the woods walking slowly away from us. Man it was a site to see all the young Turk's that made it through all the rain we had this spring.
By the way Momma LH and I will remember where we saw them for next year. Oh and we saw a few more deer too.
