Have you seen any poults this year? I think I have seen one hen with poults but they were pretty far away and I thought I saw movement behind here. We had a whole bunch of rain right at the end of what should have been the nesting cycle I did see two birds strutting this morning though

Seeing a average of 30 to 50 a day the last month or so. We are having a great hatch this year! ;D Been getting some great pics got some today of a few poults the size of small chickens in a Cypress tree sitting after I scared them off the road!

Saw a big Ole Gobbler running down the road and then we saw two hens with what looked to be maybe seven to ten poults the size of big Roosters. It was awesome when the hens took off and the lil duders took off like the big ones. They looked just like the biguns except were half the size the way they opened their fan in flight was just awesome! ;D

I am very optimistic about any successful hatches this year....entirely too much rain...places that have never been flooded before are under water.. Most hens that have not nested, or that have lost their nest because of wet conditions will more then likely re-nest.....and that also would answer why many are seeing gobblers entertaining hens again.... Seen two groups this morning, all about big chicken size. Then about two miles down the road from the last group I saw their Dad and uncle , two nice longbeards feeding together by theirself.

Heard a great report yesterday from the area I hunt, hens and poults all over the place. Can't get the landowner to understand we can only shoot gobblers in the spring, I guess he'll just have to let me hunt there this fall.

Looks like a great hatch in the northeast this year, seeing a lot of poults in CT, NY and PA along with some nice gobblers that made it thru the spring season.

Was out yesterday morning after a night of heavy rain and the fields were loaded with turkeys, groups of hens and poults and groups of gobblers. The poults were all different sizes, I guess from the hens renesting several times this spring.
