Anyone out there using the blinds for turkey hunting? I started last year and had wonderful luck with it. I was able to hunt and kill birds in areas that were unhuntable or thinkable to hunt because of the openess of the terrian.

Same with me, I got permission to hunt some private land which was mainly a big field, I set up in the open put a decoy or two out and killed three gobblers in four days. What made me buy a blind was that I walked by one three times before I saw it in the woods and said I got to try that.

If I had a good open spot to hunt I would use one in a heartbeat. I've only killed one bird in a field, the vast majority of my hunting is in the woods and I can always find a big tree to hide against, or a downed tree to crawl up in, etc. I'm always looking for a good reason to buy one though.

I have been giving it some thought as to picking up a blind also. Got some more open ground to hunt in now also and I can see where this would be good to open up more areas instead of basing against objects.
What blinds are you using? I have looked at some of the blinds with the netting you can shoot through. But how do you feel these are with archery? You think it effects the arrow or not?
