I'm in the market for some turkey broadheads and I like the rocket brand expandables, was looking on their web page and found they have a 3" head out for turkey hunting. It's called the sledgehammer any one try this one yet?

I am no expert as I don't chase them with a bow and don't plan to, but I do have an opinion. If I were to try for a bow kill I would NORMALLY want to stay away from a mechanical broadhead. HOWEVER, an expandable that opens up to a full three inches must do two things that you would really want on turkeys:
1. opening those big blades should transfer a good deal of energy to the bird, impeding penetration and giving a better knock down power effect
2. Those big blades should just tear 'em apart inside.
I would think that they would definitely be worth considering.
