ThermaCell has come out with a holster that clips to the vest and carries a spare butane canister/scent pads. It should be in sporting goods stores in about 3 weeks or can be purchased from ThermaCell at 1-866-753-3837 for $12.99 +S/H (ask for Annette) Mine is in the mail....

I'll have to check it out! I know one thing that unit sure gets hot so whatever the holster is made out of it better be able to stand intense heat and be able to keep the heat from transfering through it to you. I'll check it out thanks for sharing this post with us.

Have contacted ThermaCell to inquire about the unit being transported while ignited, but haven't gotten any response. Some members from another forum have used the holster in Fla. and are in Texas, so I can't get info from them. I was under the assumption that the unit could be carried while ignited, but am investigating for more info. Post has been modified....

It is recommended that the Thermacell unit be laid flat with the face up or clipped to a brance when ignited. The holster is for hands-free transportation of hot unit and easy access to re-fills. Advice from ThermaCell Customer Service.
