Here is the first group back from a North Texas Rio hunt. Group of 8 hunters killed 8 Toms with 7 misses:) Most were very inexperienced turkey hunters. For 5 of them it was their very first Rio and for 2 their very first turkey of any kind. They had a great hunt even though they had to fight henned up birds which is tough on veteran turkey hunters let alone new turkey hunters but all in all for their inexperience they done pretty well for themselves. Not sure why all 8 hunters or birds aren't pictured here but this is all I have received so far. David, Bill, Joey, Jared & Victor's North Texas Rio Hunt 2007 Got a few more pictures back from their hunt. He tagged out. This is his first turkey kill ever so he was thrilled. I like this picture too. That is some kind of camo pattern on those pants. Two sets of doubles This was their biggest Tom I think. Looks like it might have been a Little wet by the looks at the fan. 5 of their birds were 3 year olds or older and the other 3 were 2 year olds. This guy took a bonus hog. I guess they shot other hogs including one estimated at 500 pounds but couldn't retrieve them. The outfitter told me they were using a 243 and he figures was shooting them in the gristle plate in the shoulder which ain't going to put a hog down with a 243.
