I for one will take you up on that if my birds don't have what I want to get mounted (10in beard ) Maybe I might shoot a jake and that will work just as good. I even heard hens wing bones make the best. I'll send you a PM when I get one so you van me a address to send it to thanks again! Mike

I will try to remember. I found a box the other day of wing feathers that I saved for a guy last spring and forgot to mail to him after season was over.
I think we had something like 30 birds.

Standard deal I have set-up if ya want two send four wings.
Get a call back per pair sent as long as all the bones are there. Recently I have come up short so I went broadcasting. am in desparate need of more bones!
Sorry I do not sell but just barter! Don't have a clue what to charge however I did donate a few to conseravtion groups and do know what they auctioned for.

All handy dandy work is mine from start to finish!
I make several from wall hangers to 'mini's' to two bone which can serve as a striker on a slate! All do work - even the wall hangers!
I did not have time to photo the one I kept for myself. But I'll get to it tonite and post a few more pics.
Fondling those bones as I make a call I have learned quite a bit. It is very unique in structure on the inside. God created those bones to last and be light. No wonder that bird can fly. God also created those bones to be resourcefull as the one I shot and did had a broken wing at some point in it's life. And this bird was better than a 3 yr old!
I judge turkeys purely by wt. and spur length! Beards break off due to ice in the Tundra I live in! ;D

I have some more pictures This is one version of a wall mount, beard, spurs & wingbone call that I will show close-ups Even though this call sounds great - I made it a wall decoration. Note the bent mouth piece - This bird had a broken wing at some point in its life! A close up of the call This one of my working calls the other side of this working call Turkey tracks I draw on top fo the call Closed-up of the feather - I draw what I feel like - I call it Turkey art! ;d Here are all the calls - top one was the wall mount next one is a typical full size call these next two are versions of what I call Minis with the one with the rubber O-ring as being hands free! the bottom two are leg-bone or two bone calls that can double as a striker! Beautiful work JW.
Got a question for you. I believe I have a couple of Merriam capes in my freezer from last spring. I was going to do some cape mounts on them and I believe the wings are still with them. Would these still be good for a call after being frozen since May?
