I've seen a change in the turkey activity in the last couple of days. I've heard gobbling the last two mornings and I saw seven longbeards together today and two of them were balled up. The other five acted fine as long as the two balled up couldn't see them because of their fan. But as soon as one of the strutters would turn and face them they all would do the ole side step, so it won't be long now.
Even the hens are starting to act up.
Whats going on in your neck of the woods?

I had been watching a group of three gobblers for a while. Haven't seen them in about a week, then this morning they were out there with some hens and a couple more gobblers. Two were balled up and looking for lovin or a fight, whichever came first!

I seen a couple of gobblers balled up yesterday while driving through NY, I think they were just trying to stay warm being there was several feet of snow on the ground.

I can't see the pics..............most all pic hosting sites are now blocked from work. I can picture in my mind where its at though. I went out to the land that I hunt on Saturday and they were in the process of clear cutting it. I might be able to kill a bird off the fringe if they hurry up and get out of there, but it ain't looking so hot right now.
